Overview

A 10.1 km circuit linking the two sandstone rock towns of the Adršpach–Teplice reserve. It starts at the Adršpach rock town's entrance, crosses to Teplice through the Vlčí rokle gorge and past the viewpoint at Hrad Střmen, and comes back down the Bučnice valley. Named rock towers stand close to the path through the middle third of the walk.

Points of interest

Pískovna — The flooded sandpit beside the entrance, passed in the first hundred metres. It is the open water visible from the car park.
Gotická branka — The 'Gothic gate', a rock opening the line runs straight through at 0 m off, early enough in this walk that the rock town is still filling up ahead.
Adršpašské jezírko — The lake at the bottom of the Adršpach gorge, 6 m off the line, with the landing stage for the boat across it and the Great Waterfall just before. The walk passes it on its way south to Teplice.
Vlčí rokle – pod sedmi schody — The 'seven steps' in the Wolf Gorge, 3 m off the line at 527 m — the top of the climb out of Adršpach and the start of the crossing to Teplice.
Skalní hrad Střmen — The rock castle of Střmen, 7 m off the line, with the widest outlook on the Teplice side.
Teplické skály vstup (Střmenské podhradí) — The Teplice rock town's own entrance, 8 m off the line. This is the far end of the walk — the point the two towns are joined at — and the gate a visitor arriving at Teplice would start from.
Bučnický pramen — A spring 25 m off the line on the quiet eastern leg back: the link that makes this a loop rather than an out-and-back, and the stretch that carries the walk's only pavement-less road.
Skalní Mlýn — The 'rock mill', 14 m off the line — the last place to stop before the walk turns west for the Adršpach entrance it started from.

Trail alerts

4103 m of the walk — 41% — runs on ways tagged access=customers, counted as line within 12 m of such a way. The line passes through both operators' gated enclosures and cannot be finished without going into each of them. Whether one operator's pass is honoured by the other was not established this run; what is known about buying entry is in the access notes. Turned back at the second gate, you would have to retrace the way you came.
This circuit is not signposted as a single route. It runs over five separate waymarked trails — Via Czechia - Severní, [Č] Náchod - Pod Pasekou (red bar, ref 0404), Czesko–polski szlak im. Pavla Hečka, [Ž] Vlčí rokle - placený úsek (yellow bar, ref 7369) and [Z] Adršpašské skály - placený okruh — with no single blaze running from start to finish, and 130 m of it (96 m of steps, 19 m of service road, 15 m of residential street) lies on no waymarked route at all. Carry the track; the waymarks alone will not keep you on this line.
No part of the walk is on a road without a pavement of its own; 1201 m — 12% — is on roads of some kind, and a further 675 m runs within 25 m of one, mostly unnamed road. Where along the walk those stretches fall was not measured, so this route cannot tell you where to expect them.
Nothing here has been checked against a closure or seasonal-access source: no such dataset for this region is in our registry. Both rock-town circuits are gated enclosures run by their operators, and the Vlčí rokle stretch is a gorge — confirm with each of them that the way through is open on the day you go.

Trail character

Just over a third of the walk is path by way type (3687 m), with another 2636 m of compacted dirt; 1938 m is hard-surfaced and 550 m carries no surface tag in OSM.
Inside the gorges the going is built rather than worn: 430 m of boardwalk, 179 m of stone and 54 m of metal grating, plus 96 m of stairways that belong to no waymarked route.
The line runs between 495 m and 595 m with 246 m of ascent, spread over the circuit rather than gathered into one climb.
The highest named ground beside the walk is Koňský hřbet at 647 m. It stands 539 m off the line with no path reaching it, so it is scenery rather than a stop.

Access & rules

Start and finish at the Adršpach rock town's entrance, Adršpašské skály (vstup), 15 m off the line, with Parkoviště Adršpašské skály 164 m back and the walk in from it drawn. The walk reaches the Teplice entrance at its far point, where the car park holds 385 recorded spaces.
Both rock towns charge for entry. On the Adršpach side the operator sells an online ticket for the tour circuit and, separately, an online parking permit; the visit is booked into a chosen time window, so arrival time is not free. The Adršpach car park belongs to the municipality rather than to the circuit operator.
On the Teplice side cs.wikipedia states that the fee-paying circuit covers the area around the Skalní potok, and that the Supí skály area and the summit of Čáp are outside it.
The Teplice operator's own terms could not be read: teplickeskaly.com is not in our source registry, so nothing first-hand about its prices, opening dates or conditions stands behind this route.
The walk starts in Teplice nad Metují, okres Náchod, and crosses into the municipalities of Adršpach and Jívka.
